Photography

These photographs are captures from my life and my travels around the world. They're my attempt to embody what Christopher Alexander calls the quality without a name, an undefinable feeling of meaning that emerges from works of art and architecture.

I'm inspired by architecture and the use of light, color, form, and texture in spaces to create that meaning. I'm also inspired by the wonders of nature and the film work of cinematographers like Roger Deakins and Greig Fraser.

Despite my love for photography, I'm not a camera nerd. These were all shot on the Fujifilm X-E1 that I purchased in 2012. It's been with me all around the world and continues to serve me well.
